A Parent

Specialist

sharing
resources/strategies,
or providing
moral
support
parents
discover
they are not
"alone".

Kansas State

agencies to
ensure that
students are
located and
assigned
trained
advocates.
Coordinators
assigns
education
advocates to
students
with
disabilities
whose
parents
rights are
unknown or
unavailable.
More than
900 students
in Kansas
currently
are eligible
for the
appointment
of a volunteer
Educational
Advocates to
represent
them in
educational
matters.

parental
rights are
severed or
whereabouts
are unknown

the child in
