Families Together, Inc. is dedicated to a society that includes and values all people. We encourage, educate, and empower families that include children/youth who have disabilities or special health care needs.
We are dedicated to providing high quality information and support for families who are navigating school services, health care, and community resources across the state of Kansas.
Who We Are
We are mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers of individuals with disabilities. We are families helping other families.
Families Together, Inc. is the Kansas Parent Training and Information (PTI) and Family-to-Family Health Information (F2F) Center. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our staff provide families and transition age youth one-to-one assistance, training, resources and tools at no cost. These services are available in English and Spanish.
Our mission is to encourage, educate, and empower families to be effective advocates for their children.
What We Offer
Our team provides one-on-one help to identify your concerns, address your current needs, celebrate your successes, and help you navigate the maze of disability services.
We connect parents who have walked a similar path.
We empower families through our
events and educational materials.
Supporting Families since 1982
In 1982, Families Together, Inc. was founded and the first Family Enrichment Weekend was held in Lawrence with a focus on bringing families together to share stories and gain support.
Meet the people who keep Families Together moving forward each day and find out how to get in touch.
What Our Families are Saying
In an afternoon, I think you have changed my son’s future and my confidence as a mother.
They helped me with issues with my son and his school.
Thank you so much for the information you sent to me. It helped me feel more prepared for my daughter’s IEP meeting.
-Mom from Topeka
Every person I have met here at Families Together, Inc. is so kind. Whenever I have any questions, they have helped me, and they have oriented me. They have given me the strength to continue fighting for the welfare of my children.
