Supporting Parent Training
Thank you for volunteering to be a supporting parent. Because you have “been there – done that” the time you spend listening to and sharing with a new (referred) parent is invaluable. Our Parent-to-Parent program provides an opportunity for parents who need emotional support to connect with a volunteer supporting parent who has walked in similar shoes. Parent-to-Parent support is the intentional connection between a trained volunteer supporting parent and a parent seeking information, resources, guidance, and support from an experienced parent. Supporting parents are trained volunteers who have agreed to listen and share information with other parents about their first-hand experiences raising a child with a with a disability and/or special healthcare need.
Please view all seven training videos and then take the review quiz prior to printing the required forms.
