Parent-To-Parent Topic Talks – Supporting Struggling Readers: A Conversation

Parent-to-Parent Topic Talks is a twice twice-monthly online community conversations with parents who have been there! Find support and brainstorm with parents just like you.
September 18: Supporting Struggling Readers: A Conversation with Lisa Howell
Join us for an engaging conversation with Lisa Howell as we focus on how to support children who struggle with reading. Whether you’re just noticing signs of reading difficulties or your child has received a diagnosis of dyslexia, this discussion will offer practical guidance on how to advocate for your child, communicate effectively with schools, and understand the impact of recent Kansas dyslexia legislation on your student’s education.
Topic Talks are one hour, twice-monthly opportunities to connect with parents who have been there—raising children with disabilities and/or special health care needs.

Each hour will be devoted to creating community and support, and will be spent discussing topics announced ahead of time. Come to find people who have been there, stay to support others, and share your experiences! Topic Talks will be held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.
